PPEC

imageBrightStart's PPEC (Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care) program is designed for infants and children in need of more complex care. In simple terms, we are a center that cares for medically fragile infants and children for up to 12 hours per day.
Our team is comprised of pediatric and neonatal nurses, aides and therapists. Many are fluent in Spanish and English.

As part of our PPEC program, each child will receive:

• Daily, individual nursing assessments
• Continual monitoring of their individual medical needs
• Developmental evaluations, and treatment as indicated
• A Progression Plan tailored to each child
• The brightest future possible

BrightStart works with hospitals in the Orlando and Central Florida area to accept children directly from the NICU, PICU or general pediatric unit. If additional services are necessary upon discharge (home nursing, pharmacy, home medical equipment), BrightStart Pediatrics will arrange for those services, and coordinate a smooth transition home.

The sooner we know, the more thorough we can be, so contact us as soon as a potential need is identified.
